We’re Back!

After such a tough time, it is great to see that the month of May brought more excitement and enjoyment, plus plenty of new members, as the sections tried to get back to some form of normality. Covid-safe, lively and imaginative programmes were devised by the leaders to great effect. Toasted goodies seem to have dominated their programmes but who can resist the gloopiness of hot, sticky marshmallow or a charcoal encrusted sausage?

Settle Scouts demonstrated their artistic skills by sculpting in clay and they also took to the hills to walk from Settle to Clapham to improve their navigation. Ingleton Explorers enjoyed a game of ‘Evasion and Escape’, as well as campfire cookery and the Scouts brushed up on their knotting, whittling and fire lighting skills. Ingleton Cubs learnt tracking signs, tied knots and made mini dens, whereas Beavers had fun playing games in the sunshine and experimenting with bubbles, as well as junk modelling. The photos capture it all!
