Spooky Halloween Hike

Settle Beavers decided to face their fears and have an adventurous Halloween hike from Langcliffe to the Hoffman Kiln. Spooky costumes were optional, but bravery mandatory as they walked across the fields in the dusk, and prepared to enter the darkness of the kiln! They walked round the kiln, concocting spooky stories about the strange passageways, and the creatures which might live there. To their surprise, they found real creatures – cave spiders, which looked suitably Halloween themed as they waited for prey in the air vents! A good time was had by all, and it was a fitting end to a great half term.
