When Settle Beavers visited Santa’s grotto in Ingleborough Caves at Clapham , the weather was awful as they started off but as they walked up to the cave the rain gradually lessened, and the children’s excitement built! The youngsters and their parents were guided round the cave by the elves who told them the gripping story of the giant and the goblins who used to live there.
Waiting at the far end of the cave was Father Christmas! The children had a lovely chat with him, and he gave everyone a special present. It was a great day out for everyone. The Colony was especially grateful that the outing had been paid for by an anonymous public donor from Settle – thanks, whoever you are!
