Great Garden Birdwatch
Over the last weekend in January, Settle Cubs took part in the Great Garden Birdwatch organised by the RSPB. Joined for the first time by their friends from the Ingleton Pack, over their Zoom call they made their own fat balls which they hung in their gardens ready to count what they saw. It was a chilly weekend, but that didn’t stop them creating their own ‘hides’ and watching out for birds they could spot. There was a wide variety of birds identified: goldfinches, chaffinches, starlings and robins, to name a few! All the Cubs had a great time taking part and can’t wait for next year!
