Fund Raising Success
Recently, 1st Castleberg Group held, not only one, but two fund raising events. Starting with a Coffee Morning and light lunches at Settle Parish Church, lots of homemade cakes were donated and it was lovely to see so many visitors. About £200 profit was made, with an additional QR Code donation of £5 towards the development fund.
Close on the heels of that successful event, the Group also held a Table Top Sale in the Drill Hall when an even bigger team did a good job serving, clearing, cleaning and taking payments. About £500 was raised, plus the Gift Aid to be claimed on the donations, which will help the Group build an extension to enable disable access. To make financial transactions more efficient, the Group now has a card reader which proved useful at both events.
