Celebrating St George
Sadly, the pandemic prevented all St George’s Day Parades this year so, instead, on 25th April the County Team combined with North Yorkshire Guiding to organise a virtual celebration, ‘Journeying Together’, which was suitable for all ages. Some of the activities were live using Zoom, others were recorded and are still available on YouTube.
A service of celebration brought together Scouting and Guiding members from across the County and it was good to see our County and District Youth Commissioner, Tom Haigh, leading one of the Promise renewals.
Let’s hope that next year we can return to a more ‘normal’ celebration of our patron saint.
