Back to Basics Camp
The weather could not have been better for the Scouts and Explorers attending the District Back Woods Camp. Traditional skills of lighting fires with flints, cooking on open fires, baking on hot stones, purifying water, sleeping under tarps, building shelters and learning about nature, all leading to gaining the Survival Skills badge, proved a great hit with everyone. #skillsforlife
The 22 volunteers who, not only gave up a weekend to run the camp, but also spent hours of planning and preparation in order to make it such a success, deserve a huge ‘Thank You’.
