Big Birthday Party
1 July 2018

Birthday Party Poster

This year we are celebrating the District’s Birthday with a party for young and old alike! One of Scouting’s objectives is to increase community involvement so the celebration, which is being held from 4.00-6.00pm on Saturday, 7th July at Mealbank Hall in Ingleton, is open to the public. As it occurs during the Ingleton 1940’s weekend, the arrangements have been tied in with the village activities so the tourists and the hordes dressed in the civilian and military fashion styles of the 1940s that visit the event can pop in to say hello! As such, this is an ideal recruitment and publicity opportunity to showcase all that the District is doing now and has done in the past for young people.

There will be something for everyone with lots to see and do, including traditional games, campfire songs, toasting marshmallows, making paracord bracelets, as well as refreshments. Archive material will be on display, including photos of Scouting in Ingleborough District spanning past decades.

Do come to meet up with Scouting friends, recount your memories of Scouting and share with the community how modern Scouting gives young people skills for life!
